Tree or mallee with mature leaves that are slightly glossy dark green. Has a short, trout trunk covered in dark grey or black bark which exfoliates in strips, the many wide spreading branches are smooth and brown. Occurs in low lying areas or along rivers where salt is apparent, mainly within a lens shaped area between Cunderdin and Lake Grace in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia.; Useful around salt lakes, salty waterways and other moist saline land. Uses are ornamental, shade, shelter, windbreaks.; Soils: sand, sandy loam, loam.; Min rainfall: 300mm; Tolerates some waterlogging and is moderate to high salt tolerant.
