An erect tree with long, slender, grey-green needles (pine like foliage) Coarse, dark brown bark over the entire tree.

Naturally occurs in flood ways of swamps, creeks, rivers, estuaries and other brackish to saline winter wet depressions.

Easily grown tree that is very salt and water logging tolerant.; Min rainfall: 200 mm
