An iconic Australian plant, slow growing and long lived
The form of the plant resembles a tree, with very long and bunched, grass-like, leaves that emerge from a central base.
Trunk can reach to 3 metres, overall height up to 5 metres
Flowers white – cream in June, or August to December
Grey to black sands, grey-brown loam, brown gravelly sandy clay, laterite, granite.
found in ranges, coastal plain, near watercourses.
