An erect, tall shrub to small tree 2 -7 m high.; Sharp, long spiked needles, greenish yellow flowers with a strong honey smell. Flowers appear from September – December.; Found across the avon catchment and most of southern WA.; Occurs in sand rises on saline waterways, floodfringes, rivers. Grows on many soil types.; Provides a dense habitat for birds. Moderately salt and waterlogging tolerant.
