Small tree or mallee. rough bark, pink or coral flowers during August to November.; Grows to 6m with a fairly narrow, upright habit. Leaves are blue-green.; Growth is often slow to begin with but reasonably rapid afterwards to about 3m in three years. Coral gum is adaptable to most soils but prefers well drained soils and it is resistant to drought. It is slightly salt tolerant, moderately frost resistant. A successful street tree and ornamental.
